Machine Learning Engineer

Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Machine Learning Engineer to join our innovative team. The ideal candidate will have practical experience in AI/ML techniques and a drive to apply and expand their skills in a hands-on role. In this position, you will contribute to the design, development, and deployment of AI/ML models and systems, working collaboratively with team members to drive innovation in both software engineering and AI capabilities.

Highlights:

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop AI/ML models and systems, with a focus on scalability, performance, and maintainability.

• Implement Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and optimization algorithms to address complex business challenges.

• Perform data analysis, exploration, and visualization to extract meaningful insights from semi-to-large datasets.

• Develop and maintain data pipelines for efficient data collection, cleaning, and preprocessing.

• Create and interpret statistical models to support data-driven decision making.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into effective technical solutions.

• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

• Conduct data preprocessing, feature engineering, model training, and hyperparameter tuning.

• Assist in the deployment and monitoring of AI/ML models in production environments.

• Keep abreast of the latest trends in AI/ML and data science, incorporating best practices into projects.

• Support the implementation of AI governance and security measures.

Requirements:

• We only hire Malaysian citizens. We do not sponsor work visas. Applications from non-citizens, RPT or those requiring visa sponsorship will not be considered.

• Bachelor's degree in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related technical field.

• At least 2 years of hands-on production experience in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, or related fields.

• Working knowledge of SQL and Python.

• Familiarity with at least one backend language such as Scala or Java.

• Familiarity with data processing frameworks such as Spark or Flink.

• Familiarity with ML and DL frameworks such as XGBoost, PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Scikit-learn.

• Familiarity with metaheuristic algorithms and optimization techniques.

• Familiarity with OpenAI API and experience in applying LLMs in software projects.

• Understanding of ETL pipelines for data processing, model training, and serving.

• Basic understanding of optimization concepts and techniques, with an interest in applying them to improve system performance.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms for AI/ML training and deployment (e.g., AWS SageMaker, Google AI Platform, Azure Machine Learning, Runpod).

• Strong problem-solving skills and enthusiasm for learning new technologies.

• Good communication skills for collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Ability to work independently, taking initiative on projects/tasks without constant supervision or guidance.

• Currently residing in Kuala Lumpur or Selangor.

• Access to personal transportation (car).

Our Interview Process:

6. Offer Acceptance - You will have 5 days to review and e-sign the offer. Please note that if we do not receive your response within this 5-day period, the offer will be considered void.

We will not entertain expected salary above our advertised salary. Also, we will evaluate your current salary and may ask for your payslips.
