Job description

At interworks.cloud, we are looking for our next Technical Product Owner to join our R&D team. If you are the person who is passionate about driving product vision, bridging the gap between business and technology, and delivering innovative solutions, keep reading!

 

As a key member of our R&D team, you’ll take ownership of the product backlog, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and manage stakeholder expectations to ensure our product aligns with business goals. You’ll play a crucial role in defining the roadmap, guiding the development process, prioritizing key features for our B2B cloud commerce platform, and addressing complex business challenges.

Your role & responsibilities


  • Understand and analyze both business architecture and technical requirements, providing valuable insights to strategic planning and product roadmap
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to manage expectations, align the product vision, and ensure clear communication on product updates, risks, and strategic objectives across teams.
  • Propose creative solutions to complex business challenges, leveraging a strong understanding of business strategies and technologies (e.g. event-driven architecture, microservices, REST APIs, message queues).
  • Lead process improvements by introducing new methodologies, optimizing workflows, and reducing lead time for resolving issues.
  • Assess the risks associated with innovative solutions and develop appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with engineers and technical leads to create and refine epics and user stories, ensuring they meet INVEST/SMART criteria, with clearly defined acceptance criteria (we use BDD and Gherkin).
  • Manage and prioritize the product backlog, continuously adjusting it based on evolving business needs and strategic objectives throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Evaluate and finalize requirements based on high-level business specifications, ensuring the deliverables meet the necessary
  • Strategically delegate tasks, manage timelines, and address blockers
  • Mentor junior team members and provide ongoing support to cross-functional teams.

 

Our ideal candidate

 

  • BSc degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Technical Product Manager, or in a similar role within a technology-driven organization.
  • Experience in SaaS products will be considered as an asset
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and Scrum
  • Ability to understand business architecture and familiarity with design thinking methodologies.
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Jira.
  • Familiarity with terms like APIs , SDLC, and other technical components of software development.
  • Familiarity with BDD, Gherkin syntax, and writing comprehensive acceptance criteria.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively about technical and business issues.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with a strategic mindset for prioritizing
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Greek & English.
