Responsibilities:Flexibility for travel at regular intervals.Flexible working days (from Sunday to Thursday)Writing well designed, reusable, testable and secure code by applying best software development practicesDesigning and implementing low-latency, high-availability and performant applicationsArchitecting well defined APIs for user facing elements developed by front end developersCollaborating in a multi-disciplinary teamParticipating and conducting code reviewsDiscovering, learning and implementing new technologiesQualifications & Experience:BSc/MSc/Ph.D. degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent work experienceAt least 5+ years of professional software engineering experience in designing and building backend systemsAdvanced communication skills in English (both writing and speaking)Proficiency with Java, Quarkus/Spring Boot, Hibernate, MavenExperience with Microservices ArchitectureExperience with unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests for Quarkus applicationsGood understanding of how to deploy and manage Quarkus/Spring Boot applicationsExperience with DevOps practices and tools such as Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.Working with databases and be able to write complex SQL queries. you should know how to integrate Quarkus applications with databases such as PostgreSQL, and other industry leading databasesProblem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and solve complex design problemsStrong communication and stakeholder management experienceExperience developing software with TDD automationWorking knowledge with open shift, Amazon Web Services is a plusExperience or willing to learn large scale stream processing technologiesPrior experience with SCRUM/Agile methodologiesNice to have:Experience with Service-oriented architecture, microservices, and REST APIsExperience in architecting, designing, and implementing large scale systemsProficiency in distributed systems and concurrent programmingFamiliarity with Docker and/or KubernetesCExperience or willingness to learn large scale stream processing technologiesPrior experience with SCRUM/Agile methodologiesContributions to OpenSource projectsPassionate focus on CI/CD practicesWhy Commencis?
