FinOps Analyst, Senior

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a FinOps Analyst. This is a unique opportunity to play a critical role in managing and optimizing cloud financial operations for one of the most innovated and expansive digital portfolios in the defense sector. You will work closely with cross-functional and organizational teams, including finance, operations, and engineering, to drive cost optimization initiatives and ensure that our cloud investments align with our strategic goals. This role offers the chance to make a significant impact by directly influencing the financial health and sustainability of a mission critical portfolio.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining advanced cost reporting tools, collaborating with various stakeholders to align cloud spending with operational needs, and providing expert guidance on FinOps best practices.

You Have: 

  • 10+ years of experience with DoD and DON Financial Management

  • 4+ years of experience with cloud financial management, implementing cost optimization strategies, monitoring utilization, and cost spending

  • Experience with financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting cloud services and licenses expenditures

  • Experience supporting Microsoft Azure awards and managing task order processes and taskings

  • Experience working with large-scale cloud environments across an enterprise IT portfolio

  • Knowledge of Cloud consumption commitment, cloud platforms, and cost management tools

  • Ability to create and manage detailed financial reports, analyze cloud services spending patterns, and present findings to the leadership team

  • Ability to present complex financial findings via Cloud Governance boards and cross-portfolio channels

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Business Administration

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with ServiceNow

  • Experience developing Microsoft Power BI visualizations

  • Knowledge of the Scaled Agile Framework          

  • Knowledge of vendors, contracts, and task order management

  • Knowledge of Technology Business Management (TBM) and SAFe Methodologies and frameworks

  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • FinOps Certified Practitioner, Azure Cloud, or AWS Cloud Certification

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $67,700.00 to $154,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
