Job description

ROLE SUMMARY

It is an exciting time to be in the North America Vaccines group with multiple new products that are part of Pfizer’s 25 Breakthroughs by 2025. These new products will expand our Pfizer portfolio beyond our traditional Prevnar and Trumenba brands to protect more babies, adolescents & adults as well as better meet customer needs.

Pfizer’s pediatric pneumococcal next generation vaccine, Prevnar 20, was approved by the FDA in April 2023 and received its ACIP recommendation in June 2023. This vaccine expands serotype coverage 20 and aims to further protect children from serious pneumococcal disease. This next generation vaccine represents a potential “blockbuster” for the U.S.

The U.S. Prevnar 20 Pediatric HCP Senior Manager Secondee is a mission critical role responsible for continued post-launch HCP materials development and execution for Prevnar 20 Pediatric. The person in this role works extensively on a daily basis with the Prevnar 20 two Pediatric HCP Directors, HCP Senior Manager and the Senior Director, Prevnar 20 Pediatric Lead.

This individual will lead the development and execution of HCP tactics for the post-launch phase of the brand. This work will span HCP efforts and competitive strategy for the brand, working collaboratively with relevant U.S. and Global stakeholders to drive preference vs. competition and build effective campaigns. The candidate will also help set and execute the vision for digital transformation to effectively reach customers, drive planning and cross-functional collaboration to achieve desired outcomes.

The candidate needs to demonstrate the ability to engage people, lead within a highly matrixed structure, have excellent communication skills, have high learning agility, and be able to work seamlessly with the global marketing team in preparation for launch.

This role requires strong strategic, communication and analytical thinking as well as creativity, prioritization skills, and an ability to inspire and partner with external and internal stakeholders.

Primary responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

HCP Strategy & Tactics:

  • In collaboration with the Prevnar Pediatric Lead and HCP Directors drive the development and execution of the Prevnar 20 HCP strategy and tactical plan.
  • Drive the pull through of HCP tactics for the ongoing support of Prevnar 20 Pediatric such as communication of new scientific information and emphasizing the value of Prevnar 20 vs. competition.
  • Develop and deliver marketing solutions that differentiate Prevnar 20 Pediatric with HCPs through innovative digital and customer facing colleague engagement.
  • Support Prevnar 20 customer experience mapping (partnership with HCP Lead): Lead brand team/agency through ongoing refresh by mining existing MR to help develop/enhance customer engagement map, includes identification of actionable insights (attitudes/behaviors, challenges, needs and opportunities).
  • Develop effective resources to help transition customers from competition to Prevnar 20.
  • Expand vaccine confidence efforts with HCPs to help foster vaccine initiation and adherence.
  • Engage with sales and account management leads to solicit insights, provide solutions, and drive utilization of materials, and ensure programs and resources are of value to and empower customer facing colleagues.
  • Work closely with the Prevnar Pediatric Lead, HCP Directors as well as the Public and Market Development teams to develop and execute solutions (materials, training etc.) that support brand efforts to address the public vaccines disparity gap specific to Prevnar 20 Pediatric. Lead brand aspects of the launch of four local pilots to initiate brand efforts in this area.
  • Collaborate with the creative agency and manage the respective promotional budget for tactics owned; manage trade-offs across the brand team’s advertising and promotion.
  • Develop recommendations for potential improved customer solutions and MR that is needed in partnership with CFC Omnichannel Lead/co-coordinators
  • Develop and execute HCP asset updates
  • Medical Education Lead
  • HEI Initiative Brand Liaison
  • Support PBG & FQHC initiatives from Brand perspective (includes dev. of HQ comms plan to decision makers)
  • Congress Lead
  • CFC Meetings Lead (e.g., August Mangers & Regional Sales mtgs.)
  • Support development of Prevnar 20 CFC training materials and workshops

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, majority of which is in the U.S.
  • U.S. Marketing, Global Marketing, Sales or Accounts experience required
  • Ability to work independently across stakeholders and demonstrates judgement of what needs to be escalated
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (oral and written)
  • Robust analytical/planning skills and ability to multi-task under pressure
  • Self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity
  • Solid understanding of today’s U.S. pharmaceutical environment, incl. Regulatory, Legal and Compliance
  • Ability to anticipate and take appropriate actions – identifying and raising issues is “expected”, solving them is “good”, and anticipating and preventing issues is considered “excellent”

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA preferred but not required
  • Vaccines experience preferred
  • Project Management experience preferred

Work Location Assignment: Remote - Field Based

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $117 300,00 to $195 500,00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 17,5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
