Engineering Manager, AVS Platform

With Eigen Layer, services can build upon the established security of the Ethereum trust network, unlocking untold scalability while maintaining security and decentralization.

THE ROLE

Our AVS Platform team is scaling up as we seek out innovative thinkers, managers, and engineers to join us on our mission to hyperscale Ethereum. As a member of this team, you will play a critical role in developing and delivering high quality open source SDKs, templates, reference architectures, etc to the AVS developer community.

This is an opportunity to be a technical thought leader and manager on this team and drive new features/decisions, work on applications that drive economic demand on Eigen Layer and grow with a team of talented collaborators. WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Manage and professionally develop a team of software and solutions engineers to provide high quality tooling, solutions, and support to AVS developers
• Engage with AVS developers at various stages of the development lifecycle to understand their pain points and address them with engineering solutions
• Help in creating target output metrics for your team and manage the inputs to achieve them
• Be the internal “voice of the customer” for AVS developers
• Periodically attend developer conferences and/or host developer centered events representing Eigen Labs

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

• 5+ years of engineering experience
• 2+ years of engineering management experience
• Go, Rust, or similar language
• First hand experience (and opinions) on blockchain/web3-focused developer products
• General understanding of DeFi or popular protocol architectures (eg. L2s, bridges, ZK, etc), and related concepts

NICE TO HAVES

• Hands on experience and delivery of protocol blockchain/web3 applications and protocols

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. $200,000 - $300,000 is the annual base salary. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Eigen Labs provides various employee benefits, including:
