Job description

Anika Systems, a rapidly growing woman-owned small business, is seeking a passionate and talented Automation Developer to join our expanding Federal team. We deliver innovative IT solutions to federal government agencies, and this position offers a 100% remote working environment.
Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a government suitability clearance.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and configure RPA workflows using UiPath Studio (or Blue Prism) based on functional specifications.
  • Collaborate with team leads and stakeholders to understand business requirements, identify gaps, and provide solutions to optimize processes through automation.
  • Design and document technical processes, translating business needs into efficient automation solutions through Solution Design Documents.
  • Develop reliable selectors and implement effective exception handling strategies to ensure smooth automation workflows.
  • Utilize advanced UiPath features such as state machines, queues, and parallel processing to optimize performance.
  • Ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards in automation design, including data encryption and secure credential management.
  • Integrate UiPath workflows with external systems, APIs, web services, and custom scripts to meet broader automation objectives.
  • Maintain version control of automation projects and collaborate with team members to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Perform thorough testing and debugging of automation solutions, creating unit test cases to ensure reliability and troubleshoot issues.
  • Regularly engage in continuous learning, staying updated on RPA best practices, UiPath updates, and emerging industry trends.
Qualifications:
Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience developing automation workflows with UiPath or Blue Prism (UiPath preferred).
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as VB.NET, Python, C#, or Java.
  • Understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles.
  • Expertise with UiPath RE Framework, including queue-based job triggering, processing records from email attachments, and automation triggered by email.
  • Ability to document and communicate technical processes and solutions effectively to non-technical clients and stakeholders.
Preferred:
  • Experience with UiPath Orchestrator for managing robot deployments, schedules, and logs.
  • UiPath Certifications (UiARD) or equivalent RPA certification.
Key Skills:
  • Proficient in UiPath Studio, with a deep understanding of activities, selectors, data types, and debugging techniques.
  • Familiar with a wide range of UiPath activities for diverse automation scenarios.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, able to identify automation opportunities and optimize workflows.
  • Knowledge of integrating automation workflows with RESTful APIs and handling JSON/XML data manipulation.
  • Experience in applying RPA best practices, including process discovery, feasibility assessments, and governance frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of security best practices for automation design, ensuring adherence to compliance standards.
