Job description

Job Summary

The Training Program Coordinator's primary role is to help manage our Driver Training program by facilitating the application and selection process, assigning their training related work, managing their training related schedules, coordinating skills assessments for students and trainers, managing and scheduling the upgrade process for those in Phase 2. The Training Program Coordinator assists with travel arrangements for those exiting Phase 1 and Phase 2 of our training programs.

Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Work as a team player to support the overall needs of the Training program function.
  • Facilitate the selection process for Driver Trainers.  
  • Administer the training process Driver Trainers.
  • Schedule training for Phase 2 learners.
  • Administer the communication process for Driver Trainers.
  • Work with vendors and staff to achieve department/organizational goals.
  • Leverage internal systems to report training outcomes to the organization and stakeholders.
  • Plan and organize training events.
  • Aid in scheduling staff, driver trainers, learners and courses.
  • Organize and manage the department SharePoint site and any related future sites.
  • Other duties as required.

Education, Skills, and Abilities

  • High school diploma/equivalent required.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally.
  • Strong inter-personal skills.
  • Be flexible and able to multi-task.
  • Ability to prioritize functions and deal effectively and efficiently to meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft family of products.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
