JOB PURPOSE/SUMMARY

 

HomeRiver Group Business Analytics team is looking for motivated candidates who are passionate about using data to solve business problems, ready to learn and grow with our company. This Business Analytics role will help support our team`s effort to streamline data processes and transform an organizational culture to position data at a core of our business strategy. The ideal candidate is an energetic team player who possesses strong quantitative skills, analytical mindset, 4-7 years of corporate experience working with SQL/ETL tools and building visualizations in Tableau. This is a remote/ WFH based position.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 

 

  1. Partner with business and technical groups and actively engage in strategic initiatives requiring analytics solutions
  2. Support all stages of the analytics lifecycle, including: ETL, modeling, analysis, visualization, presentation
  3. Identify opportunities for internal improvements through self-driven deep dive data analysis
  4. Identify business data collection and analysis areas of improvement
  5. Extract, cleanse, transform, analyze and interpret data from a variety of sources
  6. Collaborate with business and technical members to ensure data is collected accurately and up to date
  7. Create reports and visualizations to support internal stakeholders
  8. Train end users on new reports and dashboards

 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS

 

  • Self-starter who stays motivated in a fast-paced work environment
  • Proactive team-player who doesn’t hesitate to take ownership and initiative
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross functionally and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience with SQL (3 years minimum)
  • Experience with ETL tools/Alteryx (or a strong willingness to learn)
  • Demonstrated ability to create and interpret data visualizations using Tableau (other BI tools is a bonus)
  • Experienced Excel user (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)
  • Basic understanding of Python is a bonus
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field, Business, Marketing or Economics with previous experience performing data analytics for 4-7 years in corporate environment.
