Job Description Summary
The Senior Casting Technology Producibility Engineer will provide technical support for the Airfoils and Structural Castings suppliers with the sole focus of casting producibility improvements. This will include, but not limited to, utilizing quality and problem-solving tools to reduce MRB and delinquency while improving cost and productivity.

This position is eligible for remote work in the United States with focus areas in the Northeast and Pacific coasts. Any hire would be expected to be available to travel to Cincinnati, Ohio multiple times in the first 6 months of hire for training and onboarding.

Expected travel is approximately 50% for this position.

Job Description

Role and Responsibilities

  • Technical process and product ownership for castings commodity
  • Active role in the development and industrialization of new casting technologies
  • Work cross functionally with Quality and Design engineers to ensure that new processes achieve established metrics
  • Plan and implement process-engineering activities for new product and technology development
  • Mentor suppliers in the application of quality tools & requirements and new technologies
  • Partner with sourcing team members for Casting supplier development and cost out projects
  • Design and implement manufacturing processes
  • Pursue continuous improvement for quality and cost reductions in designated area
  • Act as change agent, understanding and moving the operation toward world-class performance
  • Communicate progress & challenges to leadership teams

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in a technical field or a high school diploma/GED with 4 plus years Quality/ Manufacturing/Casting experience and 5 plus years Quality/ Manufacturing/Casting experience
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university and 5 plus years Investment, Sand, and Centrifugal Casting experience or a high school diploma/GED with 9 plus years Investment, Sand, and Centrifugal Casting experience
  • US Citizen

  • SX and Equiax investment casting expertise
  • Additive manufacturing experience
  • Metal Injection Molding (MIM) experience
  • New Product Introduction experience
  • Siemens NX proficiency (or comparable CAD system)
  • TRL / MRL maturation experience
  • APQP / PPAP experience
  • Established project management skills
  • Respectful, receptive, agile, eager to learn

The salary range for this position is 111,700.00 - 148,800.00 - 186,200.00 USD Annually. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. [If applicable] In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus/variable incentive plan.
