Who are you?

 

As a Senior Data Analyst within the Strategic Analytics, Insights, & Reporting team, you will be a critical part of our group at Personify Health. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, extensive experience with SQL, and a background in health and pharmacy claims with experience working for a TPA, health insurance company, or health system. You will be dedicated to a large health system with their own insurance plan for their employees and sold on the market to other employers. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining their reporting environment, working with our team of analysts and decision-makers to create insightful and user-friendly reports and applications.

 

In this role you will wear many hats, but your knowledge will be essential in the following:  

  • Create and support custom reports/dashboards in Power BI and MicroStrategy.
  • Develop and maintain SQL queries to access, clean, and transform required data for analysis and reporting.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Operations, Finance, Client Success, and IT departments, as well as our team of analysts, to develop intuitive and user-friendly reports that provide actionable insights.
  • Conduct thorough data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights specific to health and pharmacy claims data.
  • Construct and manage data relationships between various data sources to ensure efficient data modeling and structuring.
  • Analyze and understand business requirements in the context of reporting and analytics.
  • Assist in developing standards and best practices for report design, guidelines, and data integrity.
  • Manage and troubleshoot data audits using SQL to ensure and improve data integrity; investigate and resolve data discrepancies and completeness.
  • Create and maintain documentation on internal and client-facing business processes.
  • Lead requirement-gathering conversations with the Account Management Team and clients on specific reporting or custom projects that are being requested.

Qualifications:

In order to represent the best of what we have to offer you come to us with a multitude of positive attributes including:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business, scientific, or related field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, MIS, Engineering, or Finance. Equivalent experience will be considered in place of a degree.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience as a data analyst, preferably in a fast-paced technology, healthcare, health insurance, or health wellness environment.
  • Minimum five years of experience with SQL querying on any data platform required.
  • Experience working with health and pharmacy claims data and for a TPA, health insurance company, or health system is strongly preferred.
  • Certifications in software development, data engineering, or cloud technologies are advantageous.
  • Extensive experience with SQL, including developing and maintaining complex queries for data analysis and reporting.
  • Experience developing and utilizing Business Intelligence Tools, specifically MicroStrategy or Power BI.
  • Background in health and pharmacy claims data analysis.
  • Ability to connect, combine, and use non-aggregated data from various external sources (APIs, SQL, Storage, SharePoint, etc.) to create usable analytics models.
  • Experience with data management and administration in enterprise environments is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Python scripting for data manipulation and automation tasks preferred.
  • Hands-on experience working with MS SQL Server and/or Snowflake is strongly preferred.
  • Possess an innate curiosity for using various data sources to answer critical business and clinical questions.
  • Ability to lead diverse stakeholders through defining business questions and translating them into user-centered design solutions.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and change management skills.
  • Collaborate effectively within a small team while also demonstrating the ability to initiate and lead projects or work threads confidently.
  • Proven record of accomplishment in delivery, process improvement, data governance, and supporting client services and sales.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Experience producing and delivering results using varied media (i.e., multiple MS Office formats, dashboards/visualization tools).
  • Comfortable working collaboratively in a global environment with remote teams.

In compliance with all states and cities that require transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $94,000 to $100,000. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for 10% target bonus/variable compensation as well as health, dental, vision, mental health and other benefits.
