About the role

The Clinical Research Associate I (CRA I) plays a crucial role in ensuring the successful conduct of clinical trials by monitoring and supporting clinical study sites. This is an entry-level position ideal for candidates interested in clinical research. You will assist the Clinical Operations team in achieving its mission through fostering partnerships with clinical study sites to ensure compliance in conducting and executing clinical trials.

You will be reporting to our Sr. Director, Clinical Operations, Jonathan Lee.

Your daily work will include:
  • Be the face of the company with the clinic and building trusting relationships and positive experiences for study vets, vet techs, site staff and pet owners in accordance with the Loyal Service Level Expectations (SLEs).
  • Develop strong, collaborative investigational site relationships and ensure continuity of relationships through the trial.
  • Perform the following onsite and remote clinical monitoring activities, ensuring compliance with the study protocol, monitoring plan, Veterinary Good Clinical Practices (VICH GCP), and applicable regulations:
    • Site visits, including but not limited to, qualification visits, initiation visits, interim monitoring visits, and close-out visits.
    • Generate clear, comprehensive, and accurate visit reports and letters in a timely manner.
    • Issue and resolve data queries for data entry errors. 
    • Obtain additional information on potential serious adverse events.
    • Perform investigational product accountability and return.
    • Provide input on site selection and site qualification activities.
    • Review and verify study records including source documents, informed consent forms, and other materials to ensure data is complete and accurate, and collect essential documents for the trial master file (TMF).
  • Manage and maintain study data, such as site/subject visit tracking and other documentation in Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS), TMF, and other systems.
  • Provide training and support to site investigators and staff.
  • Facilitate vendor support for services and supplies to study sites. 
  • Learn and familiarize yourself with Loyal systems, including performing user acceptance testing (UAT) and contributing to the continuous improvement of these systems.
  • Attend and represent the company at industry conferences.
  • Performs other Clinical Operations duties, as requested.
About you: 
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required, preferably in animal science, biology, veterinary, or related life sciences.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail.
  • Able to travel up to 40% regionally and nationally. 

 

Preferred but not required

  • Experience working with VICH GCP studies
  • Experience in clinical research and/or product development in animal health
  • Certifications such as CVT, LVT, RVT, or CVPM.
  • Experience working with Prelude EDC.

Salary range: $70K - $95K
