Who We're Looking For:

EmpiRx Health is experiencing unprecedented growth, and we're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant General Counsel to join our team. In this critical role, you will serve as a skilled advisor to our Chief Legal and Human Resources Officer with the opportunity to participate in building and scaling the Legal and Compliance function and corresponding team.

What You'll Do:
As Assistant General Counsel, your role will encompass a wide range of responsibilities. These will include:

Contract Management - Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents related to PBM.
Advise on and keep current all requirements of law and regulations affecting operation of a PBM.
Provide legal support to business and strategic initiatives of the company and respond to inquiries from various stakeholders.
Assist and support Compliance on federal and state laws and regulations governing pharmacy benefits management, including HIPAA, ACA, state laws, and other relevant healthcare laws.
Advise and assist on corporate, employment, privacy matters.
Collaborate with Legal Operations to establish systems and scalable processes to support the growth and scaling of business.
Serve as a collaborative partner and advisor to the Chief Legal and Human Resources Officer on all strategic and operational matters related to legal, compliance, HR and regulatory matters.

Provide thoughtful counsel on risk mitigation, compliance requirements, process and workflow development to support efficient functioning of the Legal and Compliance team.

Other special responsibilities and projects as needed.

This position may require occasional travel.

What You Need:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
Minimum of 5-7 years of legal experience, preferably in healthcare law, with a focus on pharmacy benefits management or related fields.
Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work in a customer-focused environment.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with PBM operations and regulatory issues.
Experience with Privacy highly desired.
Familiarity with healthcare compliance programs and policies.
Strong understanding of federal and state healthcare laws and regulations.
