This role offers the flexibility of a completely remote position tailored for Independent Contractors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately transcribe audio recordings from depositions, hearings, and other judicial proceedings.
  • Maintain meticulous attention to detail while adhering to client-specific style guides and deadlines.
  • Collaborate effectively with our in-office team to ensure high standards of quality and accuracy in all transcripts.
  • Independently manage work schedules, with opportunities for 24⁄7 availability, particularly for those willing to work on weekends.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in legal transcription, court reporting, or scoping.
  • Exceptional listening abilities and literacy skills, including spelling and grammar.
  • Strong adherence to deadlines and style guide specifications.
  • Proficient typing skills with a focus on speed and accuracy.
  • Familiarity with legal terminology is essential.
  • Ability to process potentially sensitive or extreme audio/text content.
