Job Title: Accounting Manager

Location: Remote

Schedule: Full-time

Salary Range: \(110,000.00 - \)135,000.00

We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Accounting Manager to become an integral part of our esteemed finance team. This role presents a unique opportunity to combine leadership and technical accounting expertise, making a significant impact within our organization while fostering your professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review comprehensive financial statements for a diverse portfolio, ensuring adherence to the closing calendar.
  • Lead, mentor, and guide your team through the month-end closing procedures, promoting a culture of success and professional development.
  • Supervise the establishment of accounting controls, policies, and practices, contributing to their formulation and implementation.
  • Engage in high-level accounting tasks, including the review and assistance with complex accounting functions, such as preferred return calculations and fixed asset accounting.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual Federal Tax Returns and support documentation for external audit processes.
  • Collaborate with the property management team on various projects, financial reporting, and the creation of accounting training programs for their managers.
  • Aid the accountant and property management teams during the annual budget preparation process.

Required Skills

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field, complemented by 5+ years of accounting experience and at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with Yardi is advantageous.
  • Excellent financial analysis and interpretation capabilities.
  • Exceptional communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated adaptability, attention to detail, and a strong organizational mindset.
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is essential.
