Remote Senior Claims Examiner - Commercial | WFH

Job Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Senior Commercial Claims Specialist and play a vital role in supporting our policyholders through the complexities of the claims process. This fully remote position requires adaptability, including occasional extended hours during evenings and weekends, particularly during peak claim periods caused by catastrophic weather events.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse portfolio of first-party claims, addressing varying levels of complexity.
• Conduct detailed investigations to establish the facts of loss, performing comprehensive reserve and coverage analyses.
• Estimate property damage and identify potential fraud for timely investigation and resolution.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior adjusters, contributing to their professional development.
• Communicate effectively with insureds, public adjusters, attorneys, and contractors, ensuring clarity and timely responses.
• Implement strategic Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) initiatives in line with statutory guidelines.
• Oversee appraisal processes, ensuring effective communication for timely progress.
• Prepare necessary documentation, including denial letters and reservation of rights letters, for management approval.
• Detect and refer potential fraud cases to the appropriate department.
• Utilize video technology for virtual investigations when applicable.
• Ensure all files are completed and closed meticulously and promptly.
• Maintain rigorous adherence to best practices and statutory requirements, participating in litigation as needed.
  
  

Required Skills

• In-depth knowledge of commercial coverage interpretation and claims handling.
• Proficiency in Xactimate and Microsoft Office applications.
• Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.
• Strong analytical abilities to assess claims and determine appropriate actions.
  
  

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree is required.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial claims operations is preferred, with a comprehensive understanding of claims processes.
• Hold a Florida 520⁄620 license, with the capability to obtain adjuster licenses in AL, GA, NC, and SC.
