Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join our esteemed Toxic Tort (Asbestos) and Product Liability practice group, operating from our New York City office. This is an outstanding opportunity for a dedicated attorney to manage your own caseload while receiving the guidance and support of a talented team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee an assigned caseload, emphasizing toxic tort and product liability cases.
  • Prepare pleadings, written discovery, motions, and various litigation documents.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and analyze complex legal challenges.
  • Take and defend depositions, maintaining effective communication with clients and insurance representatives.
  • Engage in mediations and arbitrations as required.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional legal research, writing, and advocacy skills.
  • Ability to multitask and efficiently manage multiple deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • A proactive mindset with a readiness to assume ownership of projects and responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • An active license to practice law in New York is mandatory. Licensing in surrounding states (NJ, PA, CT, or MA) is advantageous.
  • At least 1 year of experience in civil litigation, particularly in drafting legal documents and conducting research.
  • Experience in toxic tort cases is preferred but not essential.
