Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze market demand to accurately forecast customer preferences and drive purchasing decisions.

  • Advocate for adherence to procurement policies and procedures across the organization.
  • Maintain a balanced inventory, ensuring product availability while minimizing waste.

  • Cultivate strong relationships with suppliers, store operations, and distribution centers.
  • Utilize data analytics to monitor and evaluate costs, quality, and inventory metrics.
  • Address and resolve any inventory discrepancies or billing issues at the store level.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and their potential impact on promotions and purchasing strategies.
  • Conduct store visits to gather insights and assess the effectiveness of procurement initiatives.
  • Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring accurate records are maintained.
  • Work remotely as needed, utilizing buying systems from various locations.

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in purchasing or vendor management within the seafood industry or retail sector.
