Job Overview

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners to join our esteemed team in Ellenville, NY. This role is designed for professionals who are passionate about delivering exceptional mental health care within an outpatient environment. As an integral member of a collaborative team, which includes social workers, a psychiatrist, and another Psychiatric NP, you will have the opportunity to significantly improve the lives of your patients while enjoying a flexible work schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations for a primarily adult patient demographic (1-hour sessions).
  • Manage patient medication plans, conducting 30-minute follow-up appointments.
  • Provide care for approximately 12-15 patients daily, either in-person at the clinic or via telehealth.
  • Prescribe medications judiciously, ensuring compliance with clinical guidelines and safety protocols.
  • Order laboratory work and refer patients to specialists as required.
  • Maintain precise and prompt documentation through an electronic medical record (EMR) system.

  • Proficiency in conducting comprehensive psychiatric assessments.
  • Strong skills in medication management and adherence to clinical protocols.

Qualifications

  • Board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
