As a Remote Medical Billing Specialist, you will serve a vital function in the revenue cycle management process, ensuring the accurate billing and reimbursement of healthcare services. You will be responsible for processing medical claims, collaborating closely with insurance providers, and assisting healthcare professionals in resolving billing issues. Key Responsibilities

  • Verify patient demographics and insurance details for accuracy.
  • Prepare and submit medical claims to insurance companies promptly and accurately.
  • Follow up on unpaid or denied claims, investigate reasons, and resolve issues swiftly.
  • Reconcile billing discrepancies to guarantee proper reimbursement.
  • Accurately post payments and adjustments to patient accounts.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and pursue outstanding balances to ensure timely payments.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers to resolve billing inquiries.
  • Keep abreast of healthcare regulations, billing guidelines, and insurance policies.
  • Ensure compliance with patient confidentiality and HIPAA regulations in all activities.
