Job Summary

 

The CAD Drafter is responsible for creating and maintaining 3D CAD models and 2D drawings for new product design and existing product enhancement to support Oldcastle Infrastructure’s growing business. They will be responsible for CAD related tasks including commercial support and collaboration with Engineering, Operations and Product Management teams.  

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Create and maintain detailed and accurate 3D models with Autodesk Inventor
  • Create and maintain detailed and accurate 2D drawings via ASME standards with Autodesk Inventor
  • Models and drawings will be created via Bills of Material within our ERP system
  • Maintain CAD files within Autodesk Vault
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional drafting team to implement and maintain drafting standards.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Product designers to create 3D models and 2D drawings for new product designs and conceptual designs.
  • Help establish and maintain Drafting standards for CAD files
  • Provide technical support and expertise for drafting practices

 

Job Requirements

 

  • Associate degree in design Drafting preferred
  • 3D modeling experience, Autodesk Inventor preferred
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional team in a fast-paced environment with good communication skills
  • Attention to detail and multi-tasking are critical characteristics for this position
  • Ability to meet deadlines while creating accurate models and drawings
  • Knowledge of ASME and ANSI standards
  • Must posses the ability to read and understand blue prints
