Job description

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Agile Product Coach to join our innovative, remote team, dedicated to providing exceptional IT services to the U.S. government. This role is pivotal in mentoring product owners, guiding them in the adoption of Agile methodologies to drive effective product ownership and project success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coach product owners on a Data Science project, emphasizing Agile principles and best practices to enhance their capabilities in backlog prioritization, stakeholder management, and product visioning.
  • Train product owners on strategies to develop and maintain a well-defined, prioritized, and value-driven product backlog.
  • Guide product owners through Agile ceremonies, ensuring they are well-prepared and aligned with business objectives during sprint planning, backlog refinement, and sprint reviews.
  • Assist product owners in engaging with stakeholders to ensure that product goals are in harmony with business aims and customer needs.
  • Collaborate with product owners to formulate clear product visions and roadmaps that reflect both business goals and customer feedback, aiding in strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Introduce and monitor essential product-related metrics, including customer satisfaction, business outcomes, and delivery efficiency, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making.

Required Skills

  • Extensive experience mentoring and guiding product owners in Agile practices, product strategy, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication capabilities.
  • Strong knowledge of data science and data engineering concepts.
  • Proven track record of assisting product owners in identifying and overcoming bottlenecks in product development processes.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as an Agile coach, product owner, or product management professional, with a strong focus on Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Lean, etc.).
  • Experience in working with the Federal Government is desirable.
  • Agile Certifications such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Agile Certified Product Manager, or Agile Coaching Certification are preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical or business-related field.
