Location/Division Specific Information and geographic scope
Within our Customer Support Team Benelux, we are looking for a motivated Field Service Engineer for supporting our X-ray instruments at customer locations that are using our unique XRF and XRD technologies.
The position is Home Office based in the Netherlands and you collaborate with the Customer Services Manager Benelux. The work area will be mainly North- and South Holland, Utrecht, and Flevoland, occasionally supporting customers located elsewhere in the Benelux region.
How will you make an impact:
You will join a dedicated Service Team that supports Customers that are using Malvern Panalytical instruments that are based on unique technologies like XRF and XRD. These Customers are producing the high-quality fundamental precious products of our world or are engaged in groundbreaking R&D projects, and heavily rely on our instrument performance.
You represent the Company in a positive professional manner in all dealing with our external - as internal Customers. You own your tasks and are committed to deliver the required end result and delight your Customer. Work is prioritized and completed in time with high quality, even under stressful situations.
Electronic knowledge and trouble shooting skills have been maintained to the latest standards, but you also feel comfortable with fine mechanical adjustments. Any improvements that you identify will be directly discussed with the equipment End Users.
What you will do:
Typical Service activities related to our X-ray instruments include:
- Installation and Commissioning including related customer introduction
- Instrument repairs
- Regular preventive maintenance services
- Provide remote technical support to our Customers
- Satisfied Customer becoming Loyal Customers
Your work directly impacts and contributes to the overall Service Targets and Customer Satisfaction.
How will you get there:
The following minimal skills are a must:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or MBO with ample experience
- Experience in Technical Service
- Excellent written and oral skills in Dutch and English, French is an advantage
- Outstanding troubleshooting skills, passionate about electromechanical, software and application issues
- You are a team player
- Willingness to occasionally travel outside own territory supporting customers elsewhere In the Benelux (approx. 10%)
