Your primary responsibility as the Ruminant Director GB, NI & ROI will be to implement a tailored commercial strategy for the Ruminant species within the region, in close alignment with our strategic marketing department and the broader organizational objectives.

This will involve identifying pockets of growth and turning sustainability challenges into opportunities with strategic foresight.
 

Leading a team of technical and sales  professionals, your role extends beyond management to inspire a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation. Your guidance will empower team members to achieve sustainable success.

Your leadership will be measured by your ability to set and achieve key performance objectives, continuously monitoring progress and implementing corrective actions as needed. Stakeholder engagement will also be crucial as you build and maintain relationships across the value chain to foster strategic partnerships and alliances.
 

In this role you will report to the Ruminants Director Europe and Central Asia (ECA) and you’ll be part of the ECA Ruminants Management Team.

Next to your commercial position, you’ll assume the role of Country Manager for GB. This role comes with statutory responsibility. You’ll functionally lead the Country team: Finance Director, Regional Operations Manager and HRBP.

 

What are your key accountabilities?

  • Sales Profit Growth: Achieving annual sales profit targets for the Ruminant species through effective sales strategies, focusing on our value-added solutions, sustainability impact and market penetration.
  • Market Share Expansion: Increasing market share within UK and Ireland and segments by leveraging market insights and competitive intelligence.
  • Profitability Improvement: Optimizing profitability through effective cost management and pricing strategies aligned with business objectives as sustainability and innovation.
  • Team Development: Fostering a high-performance culture within the Ruminant team to drive sustainable success and talent development.
  • Innovation Leadership:  Driving innovation in product development, marketing strategies, and customer engagement approaches to maintain a competitive edge in the market, with a focus on developing value propositions with a clear sustainability impact and becoming an undisputed leader for sustainable solutions to customers.

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree combined with relevant sales trainings;
  • 5 years of managing a regional sales team;
  • Strong knowledge of the sustainable animal production (especially in ruminant nutrition) in GB, NI & ROI & EU;   
  • Team player with strong negotiation, presentation, contractual, and communication skills;
  • Adept at persuasive selling, sales processes, and tools;
  • In-depth understanding of business environments and sales financials.
