What you’ll do

As the only Industrial Quality Manager at this site, you will be responsible for the continuous improvement and quality of the processes, services and products offered by the company according to pre-established international quality standards and the quality assurance management system.  You will be interacting with other stakeholders throughout the Signify global team.

Your responsibilities:

  • Control the quality End to End from the factory perspective via
  • Design quality, by being involved in the advanced Quality Planning Process of the product and manufacturing process under the lead of the Advanced Quality Engineer,
  • Supplier Quality by being involved in PPAP’s for new components and managing NCR’s for supplier issues,
  • Industrial Quality by fully control of the quality of manufacturing process,
  • Field quality by solving manufacturing related customer complaints under the lead of the Field Quality Manager
  • Focus on improving the Quality Mindset in the factory
  • By ensuring the customer centricity is prioritized
  • by influencing the own organization and building trustworthy relationships (internal/external stakeholders).
  • By collaborating with operational colleagues.
  • Drive operational excellence by:
  • Implementing standardized processes for industrial quality.
  • Monitoring defined industrial quality performance indicators based on objectives and taking appropriate action.
  • Promoting "Right the First Time" and "Zero Defect" approaches.
  • Leading programs to prevent customer problems resulting from the manufacturing process and to control quality cost and non-quality cost objectives.
  • Actively participate in a global industrial quality network to share best practices and discuss common challenges.
  • Ensure that the capabilities of industrial quality employees are at the required level. Manage succession planning for industrial-grade functions.

What you’ll need

  • Bachelor's degree (engineering or equivalent technical area) and have 10+ years of experience in the fields of quality for the electronics or assembly or manufacturing industry.
  • With at least 5 years' experience as an industrial quality manager
  • Six Sigma Certification Belt levels (Green or Black Belt) are often preferred.
  • Lean Management Certification , Familiarity with lean principles.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP).
  • Expertise in industrial quality excellence. Working knowledge of global consumer product regulations and requirements, as well as ISO9001 or comparable standards.
