Job description

Our client is a global wholesale building materials company. We seek an experienced Sales and Application Engineer to drive sales of the company's products, services, and concepts within their designated area, aligning with the budget, company objectives, and strategy.

Tactical Sales & Account Management

  • Sales and Account Management of the existing customer base
  • Delivering the goals for the area of responsibility consistent with business ambitions/ budget
  • Supporting local customers/ distributors with training and expertise to generate growth in line with the budget for the area
  • Responsible for monitoring profit contribution and, according to prior agreement, adjustment of sales prices
  • Delivering new customer / business development results
  • Identifying and executing sales with new customers and distributor customers in line with the EMEA Strategy
  •    Growth generation with local key customers
  • Responsibility for selecting regional key customers in a geographical area and growing them in line with the regional or area strategic plan
  •    Identifying and reporting competitor activities, prepare and implement counteractive measures according to prior agreement

Project- and Innovation Management

  • Identifying and delivering a pipeline of new projects with innovative and differentiated products
  • Project management with cross-functional internal teams to develop a pipeline of projects with customers
  • Transferring Foseco´s marketing tools to distributors as well as new and existing customers
  • Building and maintaining an industry network and relationships
  • Building a network of people to support the growth in the area of responsibility.
  • Establish strong relationships and networks within distributors/agents/etc
  • Building an in-depth customer contact network
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting and administration.

Requirements

  • Graduated in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering,
  • Min. 5 years’ experience in foundry industry or technical/industrial environment
  • Good technical knowledge and understanding
  • Foundry or foundry industry related knowledge is plus
  • Good command of English
  • Excellent communication, listening, questioning and presentation (written/ verbal) skills
  • Excellent (advanced) selling skills, including negotiating and value selling
  • Good analytical skills
