Job Description:

Role Summary:

Reporting directly into VP, NA Commercial Diagnostics the EBSL is responsible for promoting and facilitating the successful implementation of the Envista Business System and enabling a problem-solving culture that drives improved performance to deliver results. The EBSL will support the business where needed and be accountable for meeting and exceeding business specific targets through implementation of standard work and foster a strong problem-solving mindset.

The successful EBSL portrays the following characteristics:

  • Leads with a Continuous Improvement Mindset: Looks for opportunities to continuously improve processes and work flow, utilizing Envista Business Systems (EBS); is good at figuring out what to measure to track progress; sets up visual management systems to track progress and facilitate problem solving; is a master at the effectiveness and efficiency of work systems; can quickly diagnose and fix a work flow problem.
  • Results Oriented: Attacks everything with drive and energy with an eye on results, costs and the bottom line; focuses on actions and outcomes; drives to finish everything s/he starts.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Drive targeted, sustainable improvements tied to Policy Deployment (PD) and Daily Management (DM) by leveraging EBS tools, consulting skills, and the change management process
  • Be the thought leader and expert in EBS work concepts, principles, and practices for specified site to assist in achieving operating company Policy Deployment and Strategic Plan objectives
  • Be an active member of the Leadership Team
  • Lead the development and actively champion the EBS Roadmap (i.e., how to use the EBS tools to drive sustainable improvement in results)
  • Ensure and facilitate successful kaizen events and ensure compliance (Plan, Execute, Sustain)
  • Promote and facilitate diagnosis of workflow impediments and other wastes throughout the business and provide expert counsel on appropriate EBS tools to eliminate them
  • Achieve certification in EBS tools in order to deliver EBS programs
  • Promote and facilitate employee development in various EBS tools and kaizen leadership
  • Partner with EBSO to continue the evolution of our EBS culture and tools
  • Collaborate with other EBSLs in order to benchmark and incorporate best practices across opco’s
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Engineering or related field; MBA preferred
  • 3+ years experience in EBS (Continuous Improvement); preferably within a commercial function such as Sales Leadership, Strategy Development, Marketing, Product Management, or similar field
  • Strong process mindset and experience with standard work; EBS certifications preferred
  • Capable of working with and influencing all levels of the organization
  • Effective coaching, mentoring skills and group facilitation skills
  • Project management and leadership skills
  • Independence and good judgment, positive attitude, and an innovative spirit
  • A growth mindset with ability to rapidly adapt to Envista’s culture
  • Hands-on and detail-oriented but also able to think strategically
  • Customer focused with strong interpersonal and communications skills
  • Able to skillfully navigate conflict and difficult situations in a productive manner 
  • Travel – Estimated overnight travel is ~25% (Domestic)

Target Market Salary Range:

Actual compensation packages take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location; skill sets; relevant education and certifications; depth of experience; performance; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed reasonable estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.  At Envista, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The total compensation package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus, medical/dental/vision benefits, 401K match, and/or other applicable compensation plans.
