About the role

We're seeking a Frontend Engineer to elevate our frontend development efforts. In this role, you'll be a driving force behind our user interface, focusing on delivering a stellar customer experience and shipping new features. You’ll help build a new interaction paradigm for the future of how people discover and buy products they love.

What you’ll do:

• Build useful, fast, and delightful cross platform frontend interfaces.

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver core Daydream features to users.

• Identify and optimize performance issues

• Improve frontend infrastructure, contribute to our component library, and identify other ways of helping the frontend team deliver.

• Engage in build, test, and iterate loops on features with the goal of continuously improving Daydream for users.

Who you are

• 10+ years of professional software development experience with component based web frameworks (React, Next.js, Svelte, Angular, Flutter, and/or Vue)

• Experienced TL for cross platform client & mobile development teams.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Strong track record of building and shipping production-ready web applications.

• Experience shipping iOS mobile applications with React Native and/or Swift.

• Extensive experience with Typescript, version control, and building for web accessibility.

• Experienced building engaging UI animations with tools like Framer, Lottie and GSAP

• Highly collaborative mindset with a focus on enabling team success

• Ability to adapt to new technologies and work across different parts of the stack

• Comfortable in a fast-paced, startup environment

• Passionate about shipping

Nice to haves:

• Startup experience

• Experience with Postgres and/or distributed systems

• Experience multiple cross-platform native mobile application development.

• Experience working with gRPCs and protocol buffers
