The Role:

The Clinical Fleet Manager, Operational Strategy, is responsible for managing all aspects of Ora’s mobile fleet being used in clinicaltrials (e.g. Controlled Adverse Environment [CAE]). Reporting to the Associate Director of Anterior Technology and Logistics, this role will coordinate and be responsible for the movement and maintenance of Ora’s mobile fleet. This position will work closely with the Operational Strategy and Site Operations groups to ensure all clinical trials requiring the use of any mobile units are successful. Responsibilities include transportation and clinical schedule coordination, vendor oversight and training, site support, equipment management, issue escalations as well as the scheduling and execution of required maintenance to Ora’s mobile fleet.

What You’ll Do:
  • Management and Coordination of Mobile Fleet Scheduling and Movement
    • Work closely with the Operations Management team to ensure mobile fleet schedules and study visit schedules are aligned.
    • Coordination of driver travel.
    • Oversee new driver onboarding including qualification evaluation and competency review.
    • Responsible for all logistical planning around the movement of mobile fleet units. 
    • Oversee annual validations of mobile fleet units.
  •  Real-time Support of Drivers and Site Operations Team
    • Act as the main point of contact for the Site Operations onsite team and drivers for truck-related escalations impacting clinical study visits.
    • Troubleshoot and manage any over the road issues during transit.
    • Oversee all maintenance and equipment issues for mobile fleet.
    • Address and escalate any issues relating to mobile operations during and outside of clinical study visits.
    • Responsible for prompt follow up to reported issues, technical and resolution documentation.
  •  Vendor and Expense Coordination
    • Over the Road Transportation coordination
    • Financial Oversight 
      • Demonstrate an understanding of company policies and procedures regarding travel and escalate any out-of-scope charges accordingly.
      • Responsible for the proper reconciliation of charges relating to the mobile units.
  • Site Related Responsibilities
    • In coordination with management, evaluate new or existing sites in anticipation of mobile fleet deployment.
    • Up to 25% travel requirement when required in support of site evaluations and preparedness. 
    • Coordinate deployment with Operational Strategy, Site Operations and site personnel prior to the start of any clinical study visits.
  • Quality Compliance Management
    • Maintain audit-ready state of mobile fleet (with support from third party resources) to follow federal or local motor transport/mobility and automotive standards and regulations (e.g. in the US, the Department of Transportation [DOT])
    • Ensure adherence to all federal and local laws/requirements associated with over the road fleet operations.
    • Responsible for the resolution of quality events related to Ora’s mobile fleet.
  • General

Benefit Eligibility: Full-time employees of Ora working a minimum of 30 hours per week. Our per diem workforce is eligible for Medical and Dental coverage once they have hit 6 months of service and work an average of 30 hours per week.
