Your missions

🚀 We’re on a mission to make money work for everyone.

We’re waving goodbye to the complicated and confusing ways of traditional banking.

With our hot coral cards and get-paid-early feature, combined with financial education on social media and our award winning customer service, we have a long history of creating magical moments for our customers!

We’re not about selling products - we want to solve problems and change lives through Monzo ❤️

Hear from our team about what it's like working at Monzo ✨

📍Dublin | 💰€ 80,000 -100,000 + Benefits | Hear from the team ✨

⭐Our Hiring team

At Monzo, our Hiring Team is the backbone of our growth, divided into four dynamic squads: Executive Hiring, Business Hiring, Technology Hiring, and Customer Support Hiring. With nearly 40 talented individuals driving our success in the UK, we are excited to expand internationally. We’re now welcoming our first recruiter outside of the UK — and we're looking for someone who is up for this challenge!

🔑You’ll play a key role by…

As the first member of Monzo’s international recruiting team, you’ll be instrumental in our expansion across new territories. Think of yourself as the architect laying the foundations for future talent, building teams from the ground up across various specialisations. Here’s a snapshot of your Monzo adventure:

You’ll work with Hiring Managers to structure and run great hiring processes

Our hiring managers are often busy team leads and executives. They’ll need your help to identify what skills they’re looking for and how best to assess these. You’ll be confident challenging their thinking and asking the right questions to figure this out. You’ll own everything about the hiring process from beginning to end, and be skilled at convincing candidates to join us.

You’ll care deeply about diversity and inclusiveness, and giving candidates an amazing experience

We want to go the extra mile to make sure that every applicant to every job feels valued, respected and never wavers in their support for Monzo, whatever the outcome of their application. You’ll know where to find the right candidates from a range of backgrounds and have ideas about how to make sure they feel welcome at Monzo. And once we’ve decided we want to hire someone, you’ll move mountains in the background to make it an effortless, pleasant process, and keep that excitement burning.

You’ll love sourcing and headhunting candidates that are not actively looking

You’ll be great at sourcing passive candidates yourself, and thinking about how to get the best people interested in Monzo.

You’ll be passionate about making processes work better

We constantly refine our hiring processes to make them simpler and more effective. You’ll use data to work out what’s going well and where things could be better, and share your findings with other members of the hiring team so we can all improve.

You might already have a specialist area but you’ll be comfortable working on any role

We don’t mind if you’re a generalist recruiter, or if you already have a specialism, as long as you’re initially happy getting stuck into hiring any role that needs you. You’ll work closely with other members of the hiring team to solve company-wide hiring problems, share what you already know and learn from their experiences. As the team builds out, you’ll be able to continue specialising as an individual contributor, or explore development into management or leadership.

🤩We’d love to hear from you if…

  • You’re a catalyst for change: You challenge conventional thinking and bring fresh ideas to attract and hire the best talent.
  • You have a heart for People: You create fantastic candidate experiences and nurture an inclusive environment.
  • You thrive in ambiguity: You’re able to navigate the unknown with confidence, setting up new systems and processes as you go.
  • You’re data-driven: You use metrics to guide decisions and continuously improve our hiring practices.
  • You’re a Monzo ambassador: you embody our culture and values, ensuring they shine through in every interaction.

🙌What’s in it for you

💰€80,000 - 100,000 ➕share options.

📍This role will be based in a Dublin office, but it will start as a distributed contract working within Ireland

⏰We offer flexible working hours and trust you to work enough hours to do your job well, and at times that suit you and your team.

📚€1,000 learning budget each year to use on books, training courses and conferences.

🏡We will set you up to work from home; all employees are given Macbooks and for fully remote workers we will provide extra support for your work-from-home setup.

➕ Plus lots more! Read our full list of benefits.

🌈 The application journey has 3 key steps:

- Recruiter Call with the Hiring Manager

- Full hiring loop with EU stakeholders and Hiring Leads in the UK

- Final interview with the EU, CEO

This process should take around 4-6 weeks - your schedule is really important to us, so we promise to be as flexible as possible!

We have some guidelines on using Artificial Intelligence (AI) to ace an application and interview at Monzo. You can read them here.

You’ll hear from us throughout the application process, but if you’ve got any questions, please reach out to business-hiring@monzo.com. You can also use this email address to let us know if there’s anything we can do to make the process easier for you because of disability, neurodiversity or anything else.

We’ll only close this role once we have enough applications for the next stage. Please submit your application as soon as possible to make sure you don’t miss out.

If you’d prefer to work part-time, please let us know and we'll make this happen if we can.
