About This Role:
TriaFed is looking for an experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to work with our QA team. The QA Engineer be required to work in all aspects of the software development cycle and perform comprehensive product testing. The QA engineer will work with management and the development, business analyst, and quality assurance teams.  The candidate should have extensive experience with requirement analysis, test scenarios, test case writing, reviewing the test artifacts, cross-team collaboration, and have an eye for details. The candidate should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within the team.

Responsibilities: 
    • Work with business analysts and developers to determine QA parameters and level of effort during requirements analysis for all new developmental functionalities.
    • Participate in sprint planning and determine accurate estimates of QA testing needs.
    • Troubleshoot and document QA bugs/issues using Azure Dev Ops.
    • Create positive and negative test cases and document all test results.
    • Execute functional and regression testing for assigned developed software enhancements.
    • Work closely with the developers during the QA process and system testing surrounding test results to correct any code issues and retest.
    • Provide adequate documentation on all test results.
    • Update test scenarios, cases, and scripts to reflect requirements changes.
    • Work independently and with the team to ensure sprint testing goals are achieved.
    • Support each development releases per sprint cycle (4 weeks) by performing regression testing.
    • Support product demonstrations for the customer and client observation testing.
    • Support acceptance testing by researching test issues identified by the customer. Interface with customer and product owner on Functional requirements and Test issues.
    • Support QA lead in implementing testing procedures and ensure the QA process is being followed.
 
The “Need-to-Have” Skills & Qualifications:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to successfully share testing results and make recommendations
  • Proficient in the analysis and understanding of functional specifications and design documents
  • Highly analytic and a critical thinker
  • Detail oriented with focus on documentation
 
Professional Certifications:
CSTE, CSQA, CAST, CMSQ, or similar
Education: Minimum 4 years accredited college + 4 years of experience in computer science, software engineering, or related field
Years of Professional Experience:
Minimum of 4 years previous experience as a QA test engineer
 
Required Technical/Business Tools Experience:
  • Proficient in MS Office Software

The “Nice-to-Have” Skills & Qualifications:
  • MS Azure experience
  • SQL Experience
  • Automation experience, a plus

Physical Requirements:
  • Able to lift 35 lbs
  • No travel required
