Logistics Property Manager (Remote with Travel)

Logistics/Property Manager

Fairwinds Technologies is looking for an experienced Property Logistics Manager to provide logistics support for SATCOM systems and components with the ability to interact with both customers & project teams to identify and implement best practices for storing and tracking customer assets, ensuring materials, equipment, supplies, and other assets are delivered in good order at optimum time and cost.

This position is contingent upon contract award. 

Qualifications

• ACTIVE Secret Security Clearance
• 10+ years’ experience
• Electrical, Electronics, Computer, or Systems Engineering Degree is preferred but not mandatory. 
• Willingness to adapt and thrive in a collaborative team environment.
• Ability to meet long-lead and/or tight deliverable deadlines.
• Knowledge of SATCOM system equipment maintenance procedures, policies, and requirements.
• Experience with Government Property Management
• Ability to remain flexible in the face of changing customer and organizational priorities.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement new or improved logistics strategies and program activities.
• Develop and/or update Property Management Plan.
• Coordinate logistics efforts subcontractors, suppliers, and field service personnel.
• Resolves problems of logistics requirements to ensure program meets commitments.
• Coordinates shipment of system components and tracks enroute shipments to ensure timely customs clearance and ensure delivery to final destination.
• Develops and initiates preparation of handbooks, bulletins, and information systems to provide and supply logistics support.
• Determines logistics support sequences and time phasing, problems arising from location of operational area, and other factors, such as environmental and human factors affecting personnel.
• Experience completing Government Property Inventory Reports.
• May be required to perform special research or technical studies critical to logistics support functions.
• Use of computer techniques for analysis, simulation, or information systems and documentation.
• Support the Program Manager with ensuring compliance with contract requirements associated with deliverables and quality standards.
• Excellent written and organization skills.
• Adheres to company policies, procedures, and practices. 
• Close attention to detail and the ability to plan ahead.
• Additional duties may be assigned.
• Travel required.

Additional Experience Desired

• Knowledge of Army Property Book Operations.
• Knowledge of Military Satellite Communication methodology and practices.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance:  

Must be eligible to work in the US.

Must have an active Government security clearance of at least the Secret level.
