Your missions

Quality Control Specialist

Fairwinds Technologies is a value-added systems integrator of C4ISR technologies providing communications, networking and information technology solutions to the US DoD, Intelligence Community and Department of Homeland Security. 

We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented individual to support Quality Control functions. The successful candidate must have previous experience in this field and is flexible and adaptable to rapidly changing situations to ensure daily end-to-end delivery of QC services, in accordance with the program milestones. This involves managing the functional requirements, design, and operational information throughout each product's lifecycle. 

This position is contingent upon contract award. 
 
Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or business-related field, or equivalent (10 years job-related experience).
  • Active SECRET security clearance.
  • Must have excellent written, verbal, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, including the ability to handle multiple assignments and prioritize work.
  • Ability to work independently or under limited supervision.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
  • Ability to read, interpret and inspect technical specifications and engineering drawings.
  • Experience managing audits, including managing associated paperwork and corrective procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform activities related to patch record review, product release, assisting with document inquiries, change transactions, and generic request.  
  • Review and compile device history records for accuracy and completeness, and to ensure adherence to in-house specifications and regulatory requirements and document deviations as appropriate. 
  • Create a program Quality Control Plan and maintain an effective quality control program to ensure quality processes and procedures are followed.
  • Maintain and archive controlled documentation and complete quality records as needed. 
  • Ensure program is meeting the requirements of the Government’s Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan (QASP) by set performance standards.
  • Conduct quarterly service audits to monitor operational expectations with all infrastructure and environmental program equipment.  
  • Generate audit findings and recommendations to correct deficient areas with timelines for corrective action. 
  • Collaborate extensively with program staff regarding infrastructure configurations, tentative program changes, quality errors, and other contract requirements that may impact program milestones. 
  • Provide consultation, recommendations and assistance with reporting, data input, and data collection. 
  • Effectively communicate compliance information, including procedures, processes, manuals, trainings, and technologies to ensure consistent implementation and follow-up. 

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full time, exempt position. 

Work Authorization/Security Clearance

Must be a U.S citizen. Must hold ACTIVE secret clearance.
