Job description

This is a remote position.

Job Summary:

The Legal Nurse Consultant will play a critical role in supporting personal injury cases by reviewing, analyzing, and summarizing medical records. This position involves creating clear, detailed reports on injuries and medical treatments, which will be used by personal injury attorneys in case preparation. The Nurse Consultant will also collaborate with the firm’s staff nurse to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness in all medical documentation.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Review and analyze medical records related to personal injury cases with thorough attention to detail.
  • Identify and highlight key medical details such as the nature of injuries, treatment plans, surgical interventions, and patient prognosis.
  • Compare medical summaries with those prepared by the law firm’s staff nurse, ensuring consistency and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Prepare comprehensive and well organized written reports that can be easily referenced during litigation.
  • Ensure all medical documentation adheres to legal standards and is accurately recorded.


Requirements



  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
  • Has background as a Legal Nurse or Emergency Room Nurse in previous work
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology, injury treatment protocols, and healthcare procedures.
  • Exceptional written communication skills, with the ability to distill complex medical information into concise, easily understandable summaries.
