Production Underwriter, Amynta Ease of Business

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Receive submission already cleared in ALIS and rated by Staffboom. If submission flow requires, underwriter may also be responsible for clearing in ALIS and rating the submission.
• Underwrite submission and check rating for accuracy.
• Determine eligibility and any requirements for referral and/or acquisition of facultative reinsurance.
• Follow up with agent for any missing or additional information.
• Modify the rating in ALIS if new information is received and impacts eligibility or rating.
• Review account with VP of Underwriting and recommend final pricing.
• Document the file with loss analysis and application of scheduled credits or debits.
• Deliver quote to agent and follow up by phone to discuss our quote and where we stand.
• Receive bind order and assure binding is properly documented and processed in ALIS.
• Review file documentation to assure all required information is in file.
• Order loss control.
• Once received, review loss control survey and act on any deficiencies.
• Process all change requests.
• Send renewal letter in accordance with established renewal process.
• Have Staffboom rate renewals.
• Review renewal rating and quote renewal.
• If referral is required, make referral and document.
• Follow up by phone to assure we are moving forward with renewal.
• Prospect new distribution using Connectandsell for three hours every week.
• Use LACRM to document all prospecting activity.
