A POS Installations Representative has the primary responsibility for the installation and training of our customer’s key staff on use of our Payments Solutions and Micros hardware and software applications. This person must be able to multitask and present a positive image for our company. 

Responsibilities

  • Installation and Configuration of Shift4 Payments and Micros/Oracle POS Systems.
  • Conduct Site Survey and Kickoff Call Meetings. 
  • Assemble and Stage Micros POS Equipment in preparation for Programming and Testing. 
  • Configure database (application configurator) in accordance with material collected during the site survey.
  • Install third party applications i.e. Gift Cards, Loyalty programs, Online Ordering
  • apps, etc.
  • Conduct POS Training and Go live Support. 
  • Be Consultative – Apply Knowledge and Expertise to POS Solutions to best support our customers business needs. 
  • Present training classes on installed applications and hardware.
  • Document unique aspects of assigned projects.
  • Provide project progress updates to Management and customer.
  • Full participation to PSA Utility – updating projects, updating cases/tickets, updating calendar and constant contribution to Knowledge Base. 
  • Must be resourceful with the ability to quickly find resolutions.
  • Must have excellent comprehension skills and the ability to interpret Technical Documentation. 
  • Must be able to travel overnight as needed.

Qualifications

  • Valid Driver’s License and acceptable MVR Driving Record.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills Resourceful and motivated to learn.
  • 2+ years Micros POS experience is a plus. 
  • Restaurant or Hotel Industry experience.
  • Payments experience. 
  • Reasoning and problem solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Maintain high standards of personal integrity and work ethic.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • POS experience is a plus.
  • Experience with Microsoft OS and Android Apps.
  • Experience with and understanding of Network Technologies, Routers, Firewalls, Switches, and Wan/Lan.
