Summary/Objective

The Senior Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing plans to attract payroll professionals to PayrollOrg (PAYO) and its affiliated companies. The successful candidate leads and implements marketing campaigns across multiple channels to elevate the organization's brand and mission. The Senior Marketing Manager will collaborate closely with various teams to ensure consistent and impactful communication that enhances PAYO's reach and influence; this position works in a calendar-driven, multi-tasking environment.

  • Develops and oversees comprehensive marketing strategies that align with the organization's goals; nurtures leads and converts audience to members, customers, or subscribers.
  • Identifies target audience, market trends, and opportunities to expand reach and influence.
  • Plans, executes, and manages multi-channel marketing campaigns, including digital, social media, email, content marketing, and traditional advertising.
  • Ensures consistent messaging and visual representation across all marketing materials and platforms is tailored to different platforms and resonates with target audiences.
  • Ensures campaigns are delivered on time, within budget, and meet key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Analyzes data to measure campaign effectiveness; uses data to develop future strategies.
  • Collaborates with external partners, vendors, and agencies to optimize marketing efforts.
  • Leads, mentors, and manages marketing teams, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Maintains knowledge on profession, industry trends, and emerging technologies.


Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required. 

  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, including search engine optimization (SEO), search engine marketing (SEM), social media, email marketing, and content marketing.
  • Proven track record in developing and executing successful marketing campaigns across various channels. 
  • Proficient in data analysis, with the ability to interpret metrics, generate insights, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • Skilled at achieving measurable outcomes with a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Ability to develop long-term marketing strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to travel, if needed/as required. 

 

Required Education and Experience                                                   

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing. Degree may be replaced with 4 years of experience in a similar role. 
  • Three years of management experience overseeing program or departmental operations.
  • Experience in managing, mentoring, and motivating teams.

 

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Experience in association marketing and/or the payroll industry

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations 

  • Google Analytics Certification
  • HubSpot Content Marketing Certification
  • Digital Marketing Certifications: Google, Meta, and LinkedIn Learning

 

Supervisory Responsibilities                                                   

Direct reports include Marketing Communications Manager and Marketing Analyst. 

  1. Indirect Reports Includes Communications Copywriter.
  • Participates in performance appraisal process.
  • Follows company’s performance improvement and corrective action process.
  • Participates in interview and selection process for division and makes hiring decisions.

Internal and External Interfaces

  • Internal:        Key stakeholders of the company with regular interaction with Art, Copy, Customer Service, Editorial, Education, Senior Leadership, and MEET Las Vegas department team members.
  • External: Customers, Members, Suppliers, and Vendors.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 

 

Requires prolonged sitting, walking, and standing depending on the job tasks with bending, stooping, pulling, pushing, crouching, and stretching, and lifting up to 20 lbs. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other technology equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports. Prolonged exposure to computer monitors. Normal office environment.
