About the role

We are looking for an analytically savvy individual to join the Business Intelligence and Analytics team. This role informs decisioning across the Life & Individual Retirement business and integrates intelligence into our sales operations. To thrive in this position you will be collaborative, technically adept, curiosity-driven and accomplished at navigating all stages of data science projects. You would:

  • Analyze internal and industry data to find insights, formulate recommendations, and deliver findings to non-technical and executive stakeholders
  • Apply data science techniques to structure analyses
  • Work directly with business owners to build use cases
  • Collaborate across the organization to integrate results into delivery systems
  • Consult with team members to inform parallel projects
  • Be a leader in furthering team practices and capabilities

We are looking for:

  • Strong interpretation skills and the ability to distill results into business-focused recommendations
  • Demonstrated expertise applying statistical models, predictive models, clustering approaches, and regression techniques
  • Strong SQL skills and proficiency in Python or a similar scripting/statistical language
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in analytics or as a data scientist in a business setting. An advanced degree in a quantitative field or an MBA is a plus
  • Aptitude navigating all classifications of data, assessing relevance and limitations; extensive experience integrating data and building models
  • Skilled at producing compelling visuals with tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, or packages such as Matplotlib or Plotly
  • Work in cloud-based environments (Snowflake, AWS)
  • Ability to prioritize across individual and team deliverables
  • Understanding of data governance practices

Plusses:

  • Exposure to Salesforce, Einstein, CRM-A
  • Familiarity with data governance platforms, ETL processes/tools
  • Knowledge of life and annuities
  • Experience with Machine learning
  • Use of Jira, Confluence, GitHub
  • Project management experience
