ISMIRA Agency actively recruiting for position Youth Security Officer for Carnival Cruise Line!

The Youth Security Officer will be charged with enforcing onboard security policies and regulations in general and as they pertain to younger passengers specifically. Situations with adult passengers should be immediately referred to the SSO and onboard Ship’s Security Staff. You were hired for your skills at
understanding and communicating with younger and teen passengers.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Ensuring that minor passengers have a safe and enjoyable vacation experience, preventing any bad behavior from having a negative impact on the vacation experience of other passengers.
• Provide visible security presence for the enforcement of shipboard policies to unruly minor passengers.
• Respond to complaints regarding minor passengers.
• Ensuring proper behavior in the pool and Jacuzzi areas
• Barring persons from accessing restricted areas.
• Enforcing “No alcohol to minors” policy
• Enforcing age restrictions in onboard casinos, nightclubs, gymnasiums, and pool/spa/Jacuzzi areas
• Where required, provide supervision for shipboard activities.
• Prevent vandalism of the Ship’s property and equipment
• Clearly communicate expectations for appropriate behavior to unruly minor passengers and, whenever necessary, disperse minor passengers involved in disruptive behaviors.
• Exercise independent judgment within the guidelines prescribed by the SSO and, when required, notify offenders of possible consequences of misconduct.
• Maintain awareness of all available activities in the Teen/Youth Center and be able to present these as options to groups of juvenile passengers.
• Clearly and concisely document situations involving disruptive and/or destructive behavior of minor passengers. Assist the SSO in the investigation of circumstances and events.
• Conduct other limited duties as delegated by the SSO/Staff Captain
• Work with the Youth and Teen Activities Coordinators to provide safe and secure venues for teens-only activities and events.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 year of security experience mandatory – Army/Maritime/Aviation/Police or Hotel Security environment.
• The Security should have experience in physical security with special emphasis on access control, security screening methods, security screening equipment operation and training ability (x-ray, metal detector, explosives/narcotics detection).
• Must have the ability to operate in a multinational environment.
• Organizational skills combined with literacy and basic knowledge of computers is preferred for this position.
• Basic STCW Training
• Minimum 21 years old.
• Good level of English language.
