Job Description:
Lead Architect positions offered by Cox Automotive Corporate Services, LLC (North Hills, NY). Provide technical leadership that aids Engineering in executing product requirements toward the target state architecture. Assess the organizational and fiscal impact of software architecture, communicate risk and potential blockers, and recommend remediation. Identify crucial service level indicators for achieving the service level objectives necessary to minimize risk to the business. Drive the building of the next-generation suite of APIs powering the Digital Retailing platform. Design solutions that involve complex, multi-system integrations across business units. Drive the adoption of reusable solutions across the Delivery Stream and Portfolio. Design solutions that are reusable, adhere to enterprise architectural standards, and minimize technical debt. Advocate for the use of previously purchased software products over developing new internal solutions. Direct the Product, Engineering and Delivery peers to refine and prioritize features for Delivery Teams in an Agile system. Review solutions designed by the Delivery Teams to ensure they follow design guidance, adhere to architectural standards, and minimize technical dept. Lead the engineering team to create and prioritize a roadmap that retires the technical debt. Lead with Delivery stakeholders to develop longer-term investment and epic roadmaps. Contribute to the long-term roadmap by evaluating emerging technology solutions and delivery frameworks.
Minimum Requirements:
Requires a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field and 6 years of experience in the position offered or 6 years of experience delivering applications and architecture services in a corporate environment. Also requires 6 years of experience: programming in object-oriented programming languages; contributing to technology decisions relating to the delivery of complex, highly available systems; working with the full development life cycle; communicating technical constraints on deliverables as non-functional requirements that address risk to security, performance, reliability, cost assurance or operational excellence; and using basic network infrastructure designs and topologies. In lieu of a bachelor’s degree in the aforementioned fields and 6 years of experience as stated, the employer will accept a master’s or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and 4 years of experience as stated, or a Ph.D. or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and 1 year of experience as stated. Position reports to office in North Hills, NY. Position may work from home, but must live within commuting distance of stated office. Experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently.

Compensation includes a base salary of $181,022 to $187,732. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company’s needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members.
