Description:
  • Responsible for the global management of the Pathology Advanced Translational Research Unit (PATRU) including business planning, financial management, operations and human resources management.
  • Responsibility for organizing complex tasks and will provide leadership, advice and guidance regarding financial and administrative policies and procedures.
  • Leads the daily operations of the unit, including the technology, technical and creative functions.
  • Works closely with the department director and faculty members to coordinate and manage the center's operations, including facility planning and maintenance, inventory control, purchasing and contract maintenance of center equipment, fiscal and administrative services.
  • Manages and monitors the use of grant and contract expenditures, determining faculty and staff assignments and project effort allocations, training needs, human resource.
  • Oversees progress reports and contract development.
  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree in business administration, finance, healthcare administration or a related field and seven years of healthcare related experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master s degree and experience in federal grant management.

NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs.  Schedule is based on agreed upon guidelines of department. This role requires residency in the state of GA. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
