General Manager

We are looking for a General Manager to join our fast growing team. The successful candidate will research and identify potential business opportunities, innovatively create and execute strategies to increase sales, continuously drive operation improvement and cost reduction, and build relationships with key stakeholders. The ideal General Manager is a motivated, organized, and creative individual who welcomes the challenges of acquiring and developing new business through sales efforts as well as having high attention to detail in order to constantly streamline operations and uplift quality. He/she should have a strong understanding of the industry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to think strategically and analytically.

Responsibilities

• Develop new client relationships in an effort to grow business and help company expand.
• Effectively manage operations team.

• Expand partner relationships and agency network to continuously upgrade operation infrastructure and capability

• Take ownership of quality issues and follow problems through to resolution to eventually drive customer satisfaction

• Strategically allocate resources and assets to achieve qualitative and quantitative business targets

• Coordinate with global Operations, Sales and other supporting teams to provide competitive services

• Able to accurately analyze reports and evaluate areas of concern or opportunities to make quick decisions to improve revenue and profit performance

• Able to effectively convey market level strategy decisions and results to the team, upper management and other departments to ensure all parties are informed and in agreement

• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required

Required Qualifications

• Bachelorʼs degree or the equivalent combination of relevant education and professional experience. MBA a plus.

• 8+ yearsʼ experience in international airfreight logistics and trucking transport. Cold chain experience a plus.

• Knowledge of the life science and pharmaceutical industry.

• Entrepreneurial mindset and enjoy working in a startup culture.

• Strong analytical and project management skills.

• Ability to set priorities and adjust accordingly.

• Ability to interact effectively in a global team environment and prioritize multiple projects.
