Remote UAV Software Engineer with AI Expertise (Part-time to Full-time)

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop software for desktop and real-time embedded environments in UAS
• Design and implement AI algorithms for autonomous flight, object detection, and decision-making systems
• Create robust, scalable software solutions meeting aerospace industry standards
• Develop real-time software for UAV avionics and desktop applications for Ground Control Stations
• Implement AI-powered simulation applications for training and testing
• Collaborate with international teams for requirements gathering and software specification
• Conduct thorough testing and validation of software components
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or related field
• Proficiency in C, C++, C#, and/or Python
• Strong background in AI and machine learning, particularly in computer vision and autonomous systems
• Experience with AI frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar
• Familiarity with .NET, WPF, MS Visual Studio, and GitLab
• Knowledge of software development lifecycles (Waterfall, Agile) and testing methodologies
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to work independently and as part of a global team

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):

• Experience in RTOS and embedded environments
• Knowledge of avionics, aviation, or UAV domains
• Expertise in computer networking and cybersecurity
• Familiarity with Linux OS and VMware Virtualization
• Experience with Unity game development engine for simulations
• SQL and database knowledge
