Role Responsibilities: 

  • Provide MSL support for the VIS business across China (particularly South China)
  • Communicate complex medical and scientific information to the healthcare community, including addressing unsolicited medical questions, adverse event reporting, and other clinically related medical information
  • Develop contacts with key clinicians, university teaching hospitals, group purchase organizations and other medical / scientific groups
  • Develop functional working relationships with internal customers and contribute to the design and execution of plans that meet shared commercial, marketing and clinical objectives
  • Act as a clinical resource with professional and advocacy organizations with the objective of developing relationships and identifying potential opportunities
  • Identify institutions and clinicians collecting scientific data that may have the potential for publication and/or abstract presentation
  • Support the Investigator Initiated Studies (IIS) and company clinical study program as required
  • Contribute to training (internal and external) as needed, particularly in relation to the design and creation of scientific/medical content
  • Be capable of providing product support to customers in the clinical environment as required
  • Provide support to relevant internal teams in identifying and contracting health care professionals for education/training initiatives
  • Meet regularly with China and APAC medical team colleagues to coordinate on strategy and medical affairs support
  • Work closely with the global medical affairs team on developing and executing global and regional medical strategy

Skills & Experience Required:  

  • Advanced degree in a science/medical discipline
  • Knowledge/experience of Interventional Radiology or Interventional Oncology preferred
  • Knowledge of national / regional regulations and industry standards regarding interactions with healthcare professionals
  • Self-motivated, autonomous and accountable
  • Broad experience in the medical device or pharma space
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways
  • Exercises independent judgment and discretion in solving complex business problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to network and develop working relationships with key contacts outside own area of expertise
  • Proficient in utilizing business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
