Job Description

We are looking for an Employee Relations Manager to join our team.

This role supports leaders across the organization to effectively manage employee performance, while driving engagement and positive workplace culture.  The Employee Relations Partner works closely with functional leaders to support and guide organizational change initiatives to ensure smooth transition and alignment with business objectives.  As a branch of human resource management, the Employee Relations Partner will oversee the productivity and quality of Field HR representative assigned to support employees in specific regions, while creating and implementing strategies to develop managers, increase employee engagement, and ensuring all employee relations are handled consistently, timely and withing the guideline of the company and legal compliance.

  • Lead a team of Human Resource professionals to accomplish the organization’s human capital objectives.
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues. Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale and increase productivity and retention. Resolve complex employee relations issues and address grievances.
  • Oversee all employee relations issues to ensure consistent practice, develop a strategy to conduct timely, objective, and thorough internal investigations including but not limited to allegations of harassment, discrimination, accommodation, and retaliation and ensure all required documentation and completed thoroughly and within the standards of the company.
  • Analyzes employee relation data to define and discern cost, policy implications and area for improvements.
  • Consult with line management and provide daily HR guidance. Provide HR policy guidance. Interpret and apply understanding of corporate policies and practices, employment law, and other regulations to provide advice, guidance, or clarification for HR inquiries.
  • Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital. Monitor and report on workforce and succession planning.
  • Assess training needs, to apply and monitor training programs. Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics. Suggest new HR strategies.
  • Manage/participate with special projects/programs requiring stakeholder input, as needed.
  • Escalate issues that need SVP of HR’s or General Council review/approval
  • Other duties as assigned

Salary starting at $85k

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required, degree in Human Resources, Finance or Business preferred. In lieu of a degree equivalent work-related experience will be considered. Seven (7) years of broad HR Generalist knowledge and experience, with 4 years of direct, highly focused Employee Relations experience required. Two (2) years of experience as a people manager with direct reports required.
  • Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective using existing solutions
  • Ability to navigate successfully within ambiguity, multiple priorities and a constantly changing environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work independently, within prescribed guidelines, or as a team member
