About This Role
As a Senior Accountant, you’ll be a vital part of our Accounting team, driving the accuracy and integrity of our General Ledger and Financial Reporting processes. You’ll take ownership of key accounting functions, including preparing monthly journal entries, reconciling crucial balance sheet accounts and researching variances, and ensuring compliance with US GAAP standards. You’ll collaborate with both internal and external teams to enhance financial operations. You’ll also have the opportunity to step in as a critical backup for Treasury operations, handling cash management when needed. In our dynamic evolving environment, you’ll manage multiple priorities while continuously developing your skills for future career advancements.
 
On a Given Day, Your Work Might Include
  • Performs key tasks like posting journal entries for cash, receivables, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, accruals, payroll, sales and business taxes, credit card liabilities, and earnest money
  • Complete over 10 detailed balance sheet reconciliation monthly and maintain comprehensive financial reports
  • Performance and oversees reconciliation of weekly bank transactions and reports from various systems of records to the General Ledger with precision
  • Supports external audits by providing necessary documentation and ensure tax filing is completed on time for federal, state, and local agencies.
  • Maintains and leads the optimization of financial reporting systems, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and alignment with business goals. Manages the integrity of financial records and the general ledger.
  • Analyzes and identifies automation opportunities to streamline workflows and suggest accounting software
  • Oversees the company’s chart of accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely updates to support business growth and decision-making
  • Oversees compliance, ensuring timely tax filing with federal, state and local agencies.
  • Mentors and supports new employee members, foster their growth while providing guidance to existing accounting staff members
  • Partners with external auditors, providing key insights and documentation to streamline audits and improve internal controls.
  • Models and reinforces actions and behaviors consistent with the Company's values, mission, and culture 
  • Drives process improvements, identifying opportunities to automate and streamline manual workflows.
  • Serves as a key backup for Treasury operations during key times supporting cash management and financial processes while mitigating operational risks
Physical Requirements
  • This position requires frequent use of a computer, including keyboard functions and visual acuity of 20 inches or fewer on a daily basis

What You’ll Need to Succeed 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
  • Minimum of 2+ years of hands-on accounting experience
  • CPA certification (a plus, but not required)
  • Excellent understating and proven ability to adhere to general accepted accounting principles
  • Excellent understanding and proven ability with preparing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliation with minimal oversight
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to clearly articulate complex financial concepts
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize multiple project and task simultaneously
  • Advance proficiency in Microsoft Office, advanced proficiency with Excel, with experience in pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data modeling.
  • Ability to successfully collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams, driving alignment and contributing to overall organizational success
  • Strong growth mindset: independently seeking ways to continue improve and develop processes and efficiencies
  • Familiarity with Accounting Seed and Sales force (a plus, but not required)

Hours & Compensation  
This is a full-time position paying $76,500 – $107,000. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary range for this position. Individual placement within a salary range will vary based upon factors including but not limited to candidate experience, knowledge, individual, skills, and organizational performance.
