This position will support the Corporate Accounts Receivable Team and work onsite in Tustin, CA!

The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for monitoring cash receipts to ensure Liberty Dental Plan receives the payment accurately and timely with a high level of customer service during collection efforts. This role will successfully maintain account reconciliations and assist in revenue reporting during month end.

 

Job Summary Details

  • Process and apply daily cash receipts
  • Prepare and send out invoices, ensuring timely and accurate billing according to payer-specific guidelines
  • Post provider refunds and reconcile payments received from payers into the accounting system
  • Create annual Form 5500
  • Assist with department software testing/development
  • Assist clients with billing and other invoice questions or concerns and direct them to the appropriate contact
  • Reconcile AR accounts regularly to ensure all payments are applied correctly and identify any discrepancies or shortfalls
  • Ensure all billing and AR activities are compliant with relevant federal, state, and company regulations, including, but not limited to HIPAA and payer contracts
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

Education/Experience

  • Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • 2 years' experience in accounting, accounts receivable, billing, or related.

 

 

Specific Skills/Knowledge

  • Proficient in AR and billing systems, such as Sage 300, or similar healthcare accounting software.
  • Ability to reconcile sub-ledger to general ledger and provide variance explanations
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in accounts.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office, including intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
  • A strong team player with a friendly and personable demeanor to work in a small accounting environment is essential
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to handle difficult conversations regarding collections and claims resolution.
  • Ability to multitask is a must

Our employees are distributed in office locations in multiple markets across the United States. We are unable to hire or allow employees to work outside of the United States. This position is based out of our Corporate Office in Tustin, CA.

Compensation

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base pay rate for this position is $20.00 - $25.00 hourly, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. If you are hired at Liberty, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors – we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any, final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth.
