The role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Account Executive for the UK and Rest of World (ROW) markets. This senior role is crucial for driving our sales strategy, expanding our market presence, and achieving revenue targets. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in prospecting and selling to mid-market and enterprise accounts, coupled with exceptional leadership skills and a deep understanding of the data services industry.

Location: London, UK (remote options available).

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy and Leadership:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for the UK and ROW markets, aligned with Shalion’s overall business objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Identify new market opportunities and drive the expansion of Shalion’s customer base.

Prospecting and Sales Execution:

  • Prospect and identify potential mid-market and enterprise accounts through various channels, including cold calling, networking, and industry events.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
  • Present and demonstrate Shalion’s solutions effectively to potential clients, addressing their specific needs and pain points.
  • Negotiate and close complex sales deals, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes for both Shalion and our clients.

Market Intelligence and Reporting:

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to refine sales strategies and product offerings.
  • Provide regular sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and performance analysis to senior management.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns and promotional activities.

Customer Success and Retention:

  • Ensure a seamless handover of new clients to the customer success team for onboarding and ongoing support.
  • Maintain regular contact with key accounts to ensure satisfaction and identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
  • Address and resolve any customer issues or concerns promptly and professionally.


Qualifications and Experience:

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in B2B sales, with a focus on mid-market and enterprise accounts.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of the data services industry and related technologies.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to travel as needed.

Desirable:

  • Experience in the retail intelligence or data analytics sector.
  • MBA or other relevant advanced degree.
