The Opportunity

 

The Mental Health Professional – Virtual Clinic role is an element of Amplar Health’s Virtual Psychology Clinic pilot and combines the tasks of a Psychologist within the pilot with telehealth counselling and/or mental health triage.

 

The Virtual Clinical role provides psychological assessment and treatment services directly to individual clients who may be Medibank Private Health Insurance members or referred to the service by GPs or other referrers working with our partner and other health service providers. The role is responsible for all elements of this service provision including clinical service delivery, patient record maintenance, quality management, outcome evaluation, accurate billing, referrer correspondence and reporting. 

 

About You

 

We are looking for Contractor Psychologists who share our vision to shift the way healthcare is provided in Australia. This is an exciting opportunity for a Psychologist to manage their own diary/ workload. As an experienced clinician, you love to make a difference in the lives of Australians by providing high-level psychological support, mental health education, and appropriate psychological interventions.

 


You will be provided with the equipment and technology to enable you to work from home – so this is a great flexible option to extend your career.

 

You will need to be able to provide availability to take calls with a minimum of 2 hours per week (we can offer up to 37.5 hrs per week). The sessions are 1 hour each.

The service hours are 8.00 am to 7.00 pm Monday to Friday and 10.00 am to 5.00 pm Saturday and Sunday.

 

 In addition, you will need the following tools to do your job:

  • Home Office – private space
  • Reliable internet connection
  • ABN Number – you will be paid per consult.

 

  

This role suits a qualified, fully AHPRA-registered Psychologist (unrestricted). You will have a minimum of 5 years’ post-registration experience delivering psychological assessment, treatment planning and intervention services in a manner consistent with delivery of MBS-funded ‘focused psychological strategies.
