Job Description:

Pluralsight is looking for a Software Engineer with a learner’s mindset to join our team! We are looking to build creative new billing solutions for both our customers and internal partners, and would love a collaborative engineer comfortable with crafting custom integrations to join us on our journey.

What you’ll do:

  • Participate in the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including implementation, testing, and deployment.

  • Support team in product maintenance by resolving bugs, implementing updates to dependencies, and other various improvements as needed to ensure that our product continues to function as expected.

  • Support team in creating and maintaining team documentation including user manuals and other related materials that describe the software architecture and functionality that your team supports.

  • Help design, build, and support performant distributed systems

  • Write unit tests, perform code reviews, and participate in design discussions about architecture, data shape, and business logic

Experience you’ll bring:

  • Experience with Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, and GCP.

  • Experience with Linex

  • Knowledge of code tools/languages: Git (Github), Ruby, Python, Bash.

  • Experience with IaC tools: Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Azure Deployment Manager, GCP Cloud Deployment Manager, Cloud Platform SDKs/APIs.

  • Container knowledge: Docker, Docker-Compose, Kubernetes.

  • Spring Planning and Docs: Jira, Confluence, Figma

  • Databases: MySQL, DynamoDB

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to take on challenges by pairing with other engineers as well as working independently.

  • Hands-on experience with one or more technologies in our tech stack: Linex, Terraform, AWS, Azure, GCP, MySQL, Docker, Kubernetes.

  • Demonstrated ability writing unit tests, performing code reviews, and participating in design discussions about architecture, data shape, and business logic.

  • Experience working collaboratively with Agile or Kanban development teams.

  • Understand topics related to platform scale, security, availability, deployment and operations.

  • Ability to work in a remote-first team

Travel Requirements:

While Pluralsight operates under a remote and hybrid work model, we believe that in-person connection and collaboration are important. Recurring travel to our HQ in Utah may be required depending on the role and team member location.

The annual US base salary range for this role is $99,800 - $123,200 USD. Pluralsight's pay ranges vary based on work location. Talent Acquisition can share more detail during the hiring process when applicable. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things. In addition to the base salary, this role may also be eligible for benefits and bonuses.
